No snow? It’s still a go!
It appears the snow levels won’t be enough for snowshoes at the 10th Annual Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle. The lack of snow turns this race into a 5k/10k Trail Run (or walk if you prefer). YES this race still counts as a Midwest Regional Qualifier of the USSSA. Early bib pick-up starts on Friday from 4:00 -7:00 PM at East Side or registration starts at 8:00 AM Saturday morning at Long Lake Regional Park. Walk-in registrations are welcome on Friday night and Saturday morning!
The Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle (TCSS) is a fundraiser for Camp Bovey, a summer youth program of East Side Neighborhood Services. TCSS is the biggest snowshoe race in Minnesota! Participants come from around the country to participate in this fun and challenging winter race. The TCSS is a regional qualifier for the US Snowshoe Association's 2015 Dion National Snowshoe Championship race.
RETURNING THIS YEAR: Canines for Camp - 5K Dog Walk
Since the Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle's inception, we have noticed an increasing turnout of racers with dogs. Racers will still be able to run or walk in the snowshoe race with their dogs, but we created a sub-event for dog lovers that is less competitive and more relaxing, but still a great way to get exercise for owners and dogs during the cold winter months. Each participant will receive a gift bag with dog items as well as a race shirt.
