Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle

The Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle (TCSS) is a fundraiser for Camp Bovey, a summer youth program of East Side Neighborhood Services. TCSS is the biggest snowshoe race in Minnesota! Participants come from around the country to participate in this fun and challenging winter race. The TCSS is a US Snowshoe Association's sanctioned event for the 2017 Dion National Snowshoe Championship race.

The race is also part of the Braveheart Series, a free series that allows racers to earn points and win free prizes.

The various courses are: a 5K and a 10K track set up for the racers and walkers, and a 5K dog walk! Awards and certificates are given to the top 3 men and women finishers in each of 7 age categories, which are listed on the registration form. The race will be officially timed.

Not that serious? This event is fun for people of all ages and abilities. Walking or running with snowshoes is a fun and healthy activity. The TCSS is a great opportunity to get outside with your friends or family!

Proceeds are used to provide scholarships for children to attend Camp Bovey, a summer camp program of East Side Neighborhood Services.  Camp Bovey's mission is to provide a safe place for youth to have fun while participating in outdoor activities that help build respect for themselves, one another and the environment.

Canines for Camp - 5K Dog Walk
5K Dog Walk

Racers are able to run or walk in the snowshoe race with their dogs in a sub-event for dog lovers that is less competitive and more relaxing, but still a great way to get exercise for owners and dogs during the cold winter months. Each participant will receive a gift bag with dog items as well as a race shirt.

REGISTRATION: $35 entry fee ($40 after January 20th), $20 for students aged 13-23 and $25 for the dog walk allows you to participate and includes an event shirt and chili lunch after the race. Limited number of snowshoes will be available for rental. Snowshoe rental is also available at area sporting good stores including: REI, Joe's, and Hoigaard's.

SNOWSHOE RACER BIB PICK-UP (Before the race): Avoid race-day lines and check-in early! You can get your snowshoe race number and confirm shoe rental. Pick up is on Friday, February 10th from 3-7 p.m. at East Side Neighborhood Services. Canine for Camp Dog Walkers do not need a bib as your walk is not a timed event.

ON RACE DAY: The race starts at 9:30 am, but bib pick-up starts at 8:00 am.  We encourage you to arrive early to give yourself plenty of time to pick up your race number (and snowshoes if you are renting) and stretch and warm up before the race.

RACE RESULTS: While the race has been run since 2006, race results are available online for the following years:
, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017
